VRCPhone 2.0 is here! It comes with bug fixes, refined animations, new wallpapers, an optimized new mesh, and a brand new function FindMyFriends!

With the new FindMyFriends map function, you can see where you are in the world! You can zoom in, out, and see where you are with the dynamic location dot.*

If you or your friends have the new VRCTag, or another VRCPhone/Vira device, you can see where eachother are in the world! And with privacy options to only allow friends to see you, or disable your icon all together!

The new VRCTag allows you to place beacons in the world for friends to see, or have it on you to show your location!

And its all fully customizable! You can change the look of the icon and the tag in a simple file, to whatever you want! Included within the tag are more than 20 icons for you to choose from!

In VRCPhone 2.0, we've integrated an open-source maps system that brings a whole new level of functionality and customization to the platform. This system is not only powerful but also flexible, allowing you to modify and extend the map features to suit your needs.

Additionally, we’ve introduced a new Works With VIRA integration. This ensures that VRCPhone 2.0 is fully compatible with the VIRA ecosystem, making it easier than ever to develop cross-compatible assets and features.

These enhancements make VRCPhone 2.0 not just a more user-friendly device, but also a more developer-friendly platform. Dive into the code, explore the new possibilities, and make VRCPhone truly your own!

Optimized the phone mesh, and reduced the poly count by about 10%.

Modified the folder structure. Now, the root folder is in line with my other assets, in YUCP Assets. All the customizable textures are now in the Customizables folder. The hand animations are in VRCPhone/Customizables/HandAnim

Modified the phone project structure, for a clearer use. Now, it all lives within the same object, and it's not nested anymore.

Added VIRA-IDC. A system that allows different VIRA devices to talk to each other. This will be used in the as the main data-sending system for future updates.
Now the customizable scripts live in the main VRCPhone object, so its more organized and less cluttered.
Added VIRAMaps and FindMyFriends. VIRAMaps allows you to see yourself in the world. FindMyFriends are the icons you can see on the map for other devices.
Updated the discord opening animation and the unlocking animation to be more snappy.
Refined the contacts for skip, play, pause.
Changed the media text.
Updated the home screen to include the VIRAMaps icon.
Added 2 new wallpapers, made by the amazing photographer Marcel Strauß!
Optimized the main page so that it loads faster.
